Public Works

Behind the scenes, keeping Borden moving.

The Village of Borden’s Public Works Department is responsible for the care, operation, and maintenance of the essential infrastructure and services that support daily life in our community. From safe drinking water to reliable roads and well-maintained public spaces, Public Works plays a key role in keeping Borden safe, clean, and functioning efficiently.

Public Works staff manage and maintain a wide range of municipal assets, including:

  • Roads, streets, sidewalks, lanes, and drainage systems

  • Water supply and wastewater services

  • Parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities

  • Municipal buildings and public spaces

  • Snow removal, seasonal maintenance, and general community upkeep

This work supports public safety, public health, and the long-term sustainability of the Village’s infrastructure. Through routine maintenance, capital improvements, and emergency response, the Public Works team helps ensure services are reliable year-round.

Public Works work closely with Council, Administration, contractors, and regulatory agencies to deliver services in a responsible, cost-effective, and sustainable manner for the benefit of current and future residents.
